Ilocos

This was during our trip to Ilocos. I was wearing shorts I borrowed from Janice (instructor at Welding Academy) last Christmas party because I had to swim in the pool but I did not bring any swim wear. Returned the pair after holiday break. Hehehe. Thanks Janice!

By the way, beside me is Rico, my son.

proverbial wisdom

"Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions." -- Albert Einstein

Let me rephrase the above quote according to my humble understanding:

Kayong mga madaling mapraning at madaming reklamo: if you can't hack it, LEAVE. At kung hinde kumumpirme ang mga tao sa yo, wag kang pikon!

shet.

Quote

"Surround yourself with people most like the person you want to become. Stay from anyone who can or will bring you down."

Tom Hopkins, founder of Palo Alto

What is Palo Alto, you ask? GOOGLE IT!

Anyway, in reference to the above quote, which I like, I think I'll be avoiding a lot of people these coming days...

It's a few minutes before my class starts. It's a Friday today and I can't help but feel lazy and sluggish. I hate what I'm wearing now. No matter how much I suck in my bulging belly, a portion still pops out. If I suck in some more, I'll faint.

Why did I choose to wear this, you may I ask. BECAUSE I HAD NO CHOICE!!!

So...I'll be going about my class. Stand in front of 20 students. Try to deliver a kick-ass lecture that will last them through the weekend while working hard to stray their eyes away from my belly. I think I'll move a lot today.

Or maybe...I could just give them an exam and watch them sitting behind my desk.

Of smelly feet and prized trophies

Closing again. I'm waiting for Izang and Febe. We're going out of the building together. Smells like feet in here. It could be the bagoong and manggang hilaw that Izang attacked awhile ago. Or it could be my tired, aching, sweaty feet. Naaaaah! My shoes are still on. It must be Izang's cravings.

I'm trying to get in their nerves by speaking like those prized trophies men bring to barkada gimiks. You know those girls? I first heard about them from Monique/Tics. Tics does a great impression of these girls. They're what their names/labels are: TROPHIES. You show them off. They don't have to have any substance. Sometimes, they try to talk and get involved in the conversations. Thus, their downfall.

They talk like this: HASH HIN! HHHINDI KHO HALAM NHA GHANUN P-HALA(aaah). KASHE SHABI NIYAH HINDEH SHA GANUN. SHOBRAH TAHLHAGHAH. HASH HINI.

Every s is pronounced with an SH sound. And every word has to have an element of air.

So, I am now getting on my colleagues nerves by talking like those prized trophies. Hizhang! shagal pah bah kayoh? Kashi, bored na kashi ako. shaka, hang lay-ho pah ng housh koh heh! Hash hin!

1st entry

Couldn't think of any witty title for my 1st entry. Keeping it simple. Right now I am at General Santos City. I'm about to close shop. I'm a trainer for those who want to become call center agents. I'll tell you more about my PROFESSION (oh dear!) as I write along other entries.

Right now I'm very hungry. I can eat anything! But I would prefer, right now, to have pork barbeque bought from Lagao. One stick costs P4.00 only. And you don't have to worry that it might just look like charred pork pasted on a stick. It really has meat on it!!! And it really just costs FOUR PESOOOOOS!!!

This entry sucks.

Going to Lagao now.
